It’s been warming and inspiring to see the vast coverage mental health has experienced this month with Prince Harry and his brother, leading the way, BBC documentary following marathon runners and the effects of stress and a multitude of other exposure. The blue Heads Together banners are seemingly everywhere and the impact of this has got many people talking and sharing their experiences and the experiences they have of others close who have had mental health problems or emotional difficulties.
Viewing and experiencing the world as it is and the acceptance of reality is so very healthy. Media coverage like this can allow us all to be accepting and more at east rather than turning away and avoiding from the uncomfortable reality of mental health problems. It seems the times of hiding behind our cup of tea or our stiff upper lip to pretend these things do not exist may be ending and about time too.
