As spring is upon us, it can bring a lovely sense of energy as the days are longer and it feels warmer. We’re surrounded by new life as we see leaves developing into lush green trees, flowers come out and new plants emerge. In nature we may see ducklings, signets and lambs. It can feel lovely as we know we’re heading towards higher temperatures after a long winter. It can also inspire spring cleaning and this can make us happy as decluttering feels good, we feel productive and gain a sense of freshness and cleanliness.
Some may dislike this time of year for example it can be reminder of past bad memories or a negative anticipation for those who suffer severely with allergies – if this is you, please find ways to care for yourself well.
If you love this time of year, then embrace it to its fullest. As a mindfulness task, note down or consider 4 things you can see that tells you its springtime, 3 things you can feel, 2 things you can hear and 1 thing you can smell.
