Your company has a duty of care to you which means they have a responsibility for your health when you’re at work and this includes your mental health.
With work being central in our lives, the stresses and pressures can get to us. Also, pressures, traumas and upsets outside of work can affect our wellbeing in work too. Many organisations have provided support and external counselling for their employees for many years and as the importance of this area is recognised, mental health focus days and training is increasingly being included as normal business practise. It’s about time!
